After a one-year hiatus, Maha Music Festival returned in 2025.
And it was better than ever.
This year’s fest moved to a brand-new home on Omaha’s Riverfront, and it immediately felt like the venue Maha always deserved.
Wide open spaces, stunning skyline views and a layout built for sound and celebration made it feel like a real festival ground. Y’know, something you’d expect from major national events like Lollapalooza or Bonnaroo. It no longer felt like Omaha’s hidden secret.
(Were there issues? Yeah. A few small ones, but nothing that won’t get fixed at next year’s edition.
The incredible setting set the stage for an even better day of music.
I caught powerhouse sets from Silversun Pickups, Waxahatchee, Band of Horses, Magdalena Bay and Omaha favorites Little Brazil before having to duck out ahead of Pixies’ closing set.
Every performance felt elevated by the new space. Everything was big, bold and electric
Maha’s comeback wasn’t just a return. It was a statement that the festival has truly grown into something world-class.
